Robyn writes spicy contemporary romances about resilient women and memorable men. When she's not writing, you can find her catching up on her TBR, watching spooky movies or woodburning crafts. She lives in the Greater Toronto Area with her husband and son.

Robyn writes emotionally complex contemporary romances that feature resilient women overcoming their struggles, memorable men who fall in love hard, and fresh spice! She enjoys writing (and reading) about characters healing from trauma and exploring their sexuality in a healthy, adventurous way. Having published numerous short romances over the years under different pen names, she is ready to share her debut novel-length book, The Worst Darcy, with the world.

After graduating from film school, Robyn spent a stint in the Film & TV world, but she ultimately found her way back to her first love: books! When she's not doing something bookish, she's probably watching spooky movies, woodburning crafts or - most of the time - goofing around with her 3 year old son.  She lives in the Greater Toronto Area with the aforementioned toddler and her cinnamon roll husband.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Brodie Bishop is the worst.

Vivian Trent is desperate. Her family doesn't approve of her life as a single mom and the small town of Austen still won't accept her as one of their own four years later. Playing Elizabeth Bennet at the annual Jane Austen Festival is the perfect way to win over the locals and prove that she's thriving. But when Austen's favourite festival hero is replaced by his tattooed, metalhead brother, how is she supposed to achieve perfection with such a bad boy playing Mr. Darcy? He's never read the book. He's brash and unpolished. He's... blond?!

You must allow me to tell you how ardently I dislike you.

Brodie's used to being the town disappointment, so when Vivian turns her nose up at him, he's not surprised. Hot librarian or not, she's way too uptight. But once the festival gets underway, they see new sides of each other. When he finds out her dark secret, suddenly she’s much more endearing. She’s vulnerable, but strong. And the way she looks in that gown only blurs the lines between playing the part and falling for her for real.

But when her goal is within reach, can Vivian go off-book and choose Brodie, if it means risking everything she thought she wanted?

This book got a grip on me from the first chapter, it’s so fresh and cute and then BOOM!! SPICE!!… I struck gold with this book.

Vivian and Brodie will make you laugh for them, feel for them, and ultimately fall in love with them!

This book is perfect for Austen fans or anyone who loves a spicy contemporary romance that has much more under its beautiful cover and I sincerely hope Robyn Gynne brings us back to Austen very soon!

It was great to see the gradual build of Vivian and Brodie's relationship, from wrong first impressions, to trust and friendship, to love. They really seem to balance each other out. And the spice!! Wooo! The chemistry was palpable.

This story was easy to read, made me laugh out loud, and instantly had me falling in love with Vivian & Brodie as individuals. The slow burn and growing friendship aspects kept me interested and wanting to read more.

I was able to finish this book in less than one day because it flowed nicely from beginning to end. I loved the character development throughout the story and how the author included such a healthy co-parenting relationship!

The Worst Darcy is my first heterosexual contemporary romance novel, and I couldn’t have picked a better book to introduce me to a whole new genre.

Vivian and Brodie were two mature adults and acted like it, they acknowledged their baggage and grew as people together.

I couldn’t recommend this book enough.

I loved it! The whole festival was an exciting setting for this story, and a lovely jumpstart for Viv finding herself as her own person separate from her son and ex.

The setting felt different to other books I've read, and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. Highly recommend this book!

Anything Pride and Prejudice related I’m here for it! This story is not a retelling but a love letter to the amazing story, the characters and the author herself. It’s also a book about the power of love, understanding and acceptance...

This story was so fun and had such lovable characters.

I never thought I would be into nipple rings - this book changed that.

Vivian and Brodie are fantastic! Their story is great and funny and sweet and sexy.

I highly recommend reading this for some sweet romance, steamy scenes, and great laughs.

Spicy, sweet, and... just simply a breath of fresh air!
